This is an installation model I tried to make. I mainly used the image of cactus, some people don't like cactus. They think cactus represents distance and danger. I like the image of cactus very much. It usually lives in the desert, and its vitality is extremely tenacious. In my work, there are no annoying thorns on my cactus here, instead its thorns are soft material. I divide this work into two parts to show that the reality we see is only determined by our own cognition.

Model 2

I signed up for a textile course, in which I met Sukie. I talked about my creative ideas and showed her my clay model. When she learned that I wanted to try to make sculptures with soft materials, she recommended some markets and specific geographical locations where I bought materials. I have my own materials, and I have made the following small model. It's made of felt and stuffed with soft cotton. The purpose of this is to form a strong contrast, which makes us look at the original things in another way. We can even touch the soft texture of its hands.

Model 3

This is an enlarged version based on the previous models. In order to create an uneven effect, I made a larger cactus sculpture.
